How to choose a water meter

1. Water meter specifications.
If there is a margin for the water pipe considering the future water passing capacity, you can choose a water meter with a lower caliber specification. For example, if the pipeline with a diameter of 200mm is insufficient in flow, a water meter with a diameter of 150mm can be installed. When the normal flow of the pipeline with a diameter of 200mm is increased in the future, the water meter of the same diameter can be replaced. As for
large-scale water-consuming industrial users, you can choose a large-diameter water meter, or use several relatively small-diameter water meters in parallel, so that individual faulty water meters can be repaired or changed without affecting the normal water supply of users.

2.Indication type of water meter

Generally, people choose the word wheel type, because the reading is clear and convenient. However, some people think that it is better to install the pointer type when a meter cannot be read at close range, because this type can be read according to the geometric angle pointed by the pointer.

3. Convenience of installation and maintenance.
For large-diameter water meters, the convenience of installation and maintenance must be considered in particular. Therefore, you can choose a water meter that can be installed, replaced or repaired without stopping the water (such as a detachable water meter). The installation length and connection method of the water meter are also a factor to consider.

4.Water quality adaptability.

Due to various reasons, in many occasions, the water quality that flows through the water meter to use is not as clean and ideal as when it leaves the water plant, so sometimes the water contains some impurities (such as rust, sand, hemp, etc.). In this case, in addition to considering the installation of some filters and taking other measures in the pipeline design of the water meter, it is also possible to choose a water meter that can adapt to such water quality.
